Limited Edition Bvlgari Sunglasses

Since 1884 Bvlgari has been synonymous with the ultimate in luxury, style and decadence. 2010 has been no exception. With one of the worst recessions we have seen in decades just creeping out into recovery, Bvlgari took a bold step in producing rather extravagant limited addition shades. With only 10 made world wide you can expect that these wont go cheap. Sunglass Hut SA, in co-ordination with Zebra Square's Jill Grogor, held a function at Sandton City on 2 November to launch one of these masterpieces to a selected few guests. The evening kicked off with a good glass of wine and great company with the likes of Gesh Conco, the ever beautiful Carolyn Steyn, Michael de Pinna and Peta Eggierth-Symes to only name a few. By the end of the show, featuring two mindbogglingly supple performers in what almost resembled a summary of pages 65-154 of the Kama Sutra, I was talking to Sunglass Hut's General Manager Mike Elliott. According to Elliott the glasses was retailing for around £20,000 in parts of Europe. However, a pair of these, number 6/10 to be exact, can be bought in Joburg for a steal at only R100 000. If you are interested in acquiring the only of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere you can find them at Sunglass Hut, Sandton City (Right below Cartier) or give them a call at +27 11 783 2659 and try and beat me to them!
